Najib will be a traitor for rejecting budget, says Shahidan

FORMER Umno president Najib Razak will be a traitor if he rejects Budget 2021, said Shahidan Kassim. 

“Whoever rejects Budget 2021, including my friend Najib, is a traitor to the people,” said the Arau MP during his budget speech in Dewan Rakyat today. 

The Perikatan Nasional Backbenchers Club chief also said it was untrue that Barisan Nasional MPs will not support the budget during the vote on November 26.

“There are rumours that one or two PN MPs will not support Budget 2021 and cause the government to fall.

“This is a bad allegation against seasoned politicians such as Najib Razak (Pekan-BN), Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (Bagan Datuk-BN) and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (Gua Musang-BN). So, don’t accuse them of bad intentions. 

“When they join BN, they are BN. And when BN is with PN, they are PN,” said Shahidan.

Shahidan named the MPs as they had been critical of the budget during their speeches earlier. 

Najib, during his speech, said BN would only support the budget if the government agreed to extend the loan moratorium and allow Employees’ Provident Fund withdrawals of RM10,000 in one lump sum.

“Hence, it is untrue we will not support the budget, including Nazri Aziz (Padang Rengas-BN). To the opposition, if you don’t want to support the budget, don’t come to Parliament and go somewhere else.  

Shahidan also voiced his support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, after Zahid had called on the government to allow a confidence motion against the Pagoh MP.

  • Because they only know how to play the race and religion card, anyone who uses his brains vs his tribal instincts is a traitor. The question is traitor to who? Its not the Rakyat this budget is set out fir. Its for the political power. So this race based traitor game comes up short.
