GERIK MP Hasbullah Osman died in Raub, Pahang, this afternoon due to heart disease. He was 63.

Temenggor assemblyman Salbiah Mohamed confirmed the matter.

She said Hasbullah was pronounced dead at Raub Hospital.

A by-election must be held with 60 days of the Election Commission receiving formal notification of the vacancy, which will mean Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s support in Parliament has dropped to 112 MPs. 

There are 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat but the Batu Sapi seat is also vacant following the death of Liew Vui Keong recently, and a by-election is due on December 5. – November 16, 2020.
