THREE new Covid-19 clusters were reported today – two in Sabah and one in Johor.
With the three new clusters, the active cluster count in the country is now at 163.
Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the first cluster is Plaza in Kota Kinabalu.
The index case of this cluster tested positive on November 11 and infected 11 others.
“Until November 15, 19 individuals were screened, with 12 testing positive, of which 11 are new cases.
“Seven others tested negative,” he said.
Noor Hisham said the other cluster in Sabah is Jalan Kalabakan in Tawau.
“The index case tested positive on October 31 and contact tracing found 21 new cases.
“As of November 15, 22 people have been tested. All were found positive.”
The third cluster involves three districts in Johor – Kota Tinggi, Muar and Mersing.
“The index case tested positive on November 6 and has already infected 26 people. They have all been sent to Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital, Kluang, Johor.
“Until November 15, 1,170 people have been screened. A total of 26 tested positive and 535 negative. Another 609 are still waiting for their test results,” he said.
Only one cluster ended today – Bah Arnab in Sarawak. A total of 12 people were infected, while 60 others tested negative. – November 15, 2020.
