6 new clusters bring total to 156

SIX new Covid-19 clusters have been identified by the Health Ministry, bringing the number of active clusters in the nation to 156, said Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. 

Two of the new clusters were reported in Sabah. 

The first cluster in Sabah is called Nahaba, which involves the Kota Belud district. 

Twenty-five people have tested positive from 65 screened, while the rest tested negative. 

The second cluster in Sabah is known as Numbak and it involves the Kota Kinabalu district. 

As of noon today, 21 people have been screened, of whom eight tested positive. Seven tested negative and six are waiting for results. 

The third new cluster reported today is the Perigi cluster, which involves the Klang district. 

From 124 people screened, 39 have tested positive while the rest are waiting for results. 

Next is the Seri Terapi cluster, which involves the Kepong district in Kuala Lumpur and Alor Gajah in Malacca.  

Twelve cases have been detected from 126 people screened. Eight others tested negative while 106 are awaiting results.

The Pandang cluster was reported in Kota Tinggi, Johor, where five positive cases were identified from 338 screened, of which 173 tested negative while the rest are waiting for results. 

The final cluster detected today is the Harmoni cluster, which is in Putrajaya. 

Fifty people were screened, of which five tested positive. 

Twenty-eight others tested negative while 17 others are waiting for results. 

Noor Hisham said 126 clusters have ended to date. 

Today, Malaysia reported a record 1,345 recoveries, topping 972 new infections. – November 9, 2020.
