3 new Covid-19 clusters detected, 3 ended, says health D-G

THE Health Ministry has identified three new clusters, while it also reported an end for another three clusters, said Director-General Of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. 

Of the three new clusters, one was in Sabah, the second was in the Klang Valley and the third cluster was in Perak. 

The cluster in Sabah was named Mampulut, which involves the Keningau district. 

As of noon today, a total of 209 people have been screened in the area and of that number, 28 tested positive. The other 181 tested negative for the virus. 

The cluster in the Klang Valley involves the Petaling, Gombak and Klang districts in Selangor and Kepong in Kuala Lumpur. This cluster was named Fores. 

Twenty positive cases have been reported in this cluster out of 190 people screened. Seventy tested negative while 100 more are waiting for results. 

The Perak cluster, known as Rengas, involves the Kuala Kangsar district. 

From the 290 screened, nine were found to be positive while the rest are waiting for results. 

A total of 57 cases have been reported in these three clusters. 

The three clusters that ended today are Bah Lada, Atap and Bah Sahabat. 

As of today, 56 people have been screened in the Bah Lada cluster in Sabah, where four tested positive. The positivity rate in this cluster is 7.14%.

In the Atap cluster in Perak, 48 people were screened as of November 6, and four tested positive. The positivity rate of this cluster is 8.33%. 

The Bah Sahabat cluster is the final cluster that was brought to an end today. As of today, 53 people were screened and 11 were found to be positive. 

The positivity rate for the Bah Sahabat cluster is 20.75%. 

Noor Hisham said no deaths were reported in any of these three clusters. β€“ November 6, 2020.
