Health Ministry records five new Covid-19 clusters

THE Health Ministry today recorded five new Covid-19 clusters contributing a total of 25 new positive cases today, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Noor Hisham said the five new clusters were Sutera in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; Ria-30 in Tuaran, Sabah; Tamur in Petaling, Selangor; Intan in Timur Laut, Penang and Danau in Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur.

These five were part of 32 active clusters nationwide that recorded cases today.

The Sutera cluster in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, saw 32 people being screened, with 15 of them reporting positive, six negative and 11 awaiting results.

The Ria-30 cluster in Tuaran, also in Sabah, saw 254 people being screened. Eleven reported positive, 121 were negative and 122 are awaiting results.

Of the 137 people screened at the Tamur cluster in Petaling, Selangor, 10 tested positive, 57 were negative and 70 are pending results.

The Intan cluster in Timur Laut, Penang, had 98 people screened, with nine reporting positive, 35 negative and 54 awaiting results.

At the Danau cluster in Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, 82 people have been screened. Eight tested positive, 40 were negative and 34 are pending their results. – November 5, 2020.
