THREE more sub-districts will be placed under the conditional movement-control order (CMCO) effective November 7, after reports showed an increasing number of Covid-19 infections, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the sub-districts are Parit Buntar in Perak, Rasau in Dungun, Terengganu and Jimah in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.
“These districts will be placed under CMCO from November 7 to 20,” Ismail Sabri said in his daily briefing on Covid-19 movement restrictions today.
He said the decisions were made upon advice and risk assessments from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Ismail Sabri said the CMCO would allow the MOH to carry out targeted screenings in these districts.
The Parit Buntar district will involve 45,359 residents from a total of 7,847 households, Rasau will involve 43,687 residents, and the Jimah district will involve 24,540 residents.

He said there were no new cases recorded in the last seven days there.
As for the six localities in Semporna and one locality in Kunak, Ismail Sabri said that although the EMCO has been lifted, Sabah is still under CMCO and that residents in the area have to comply with the relevant SOP.
