A LANDSLIDE early today forced the closure of the main road between Pasir Bogak and Teluk Nipah on Pangkor Island, according to the police.

Manjung district police chief Nor Omar Sappi said the landslide occurred along Jalan Teluk Ketapang at 3.25am and damaged the road.

“The road has been closed to all vehicles to ensure the safety of motorists and other road users,” he said in a statement.

Nor Omar said no one was injured in the incident.

He said the police have notified the Fire and Rescue Department, Manjung Municipal Council and the Public Works Department (JKR) and JKR will undertake repairs to the road. – Bernama, November 4, 2020.
