139 active Covid-19 clusters with 2 more reported today

THERE are currently 139 active Covid-19 clusters with two new groupings recorded today, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said the Cergas cluster in Seremban and the Permatang cluster in Kulim were the most recent clusters the authorities had identified.

Noor Hisham added that 38 clusters had recorded new active cases in the past 24 hours.

A total of 144 people have been screened in the Cergas cluster, of which 12 people so far have tested positive and have been admitted to Rembau Hospital, Tampin Hospital and Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar.

The Permatang cluster currently has eight infected people out of 98 screened in total, with all cases admitted to Penang General Hospital.

Noor Hisham added that the Batu cluster in Perak had ended today. A total of 1,174 people were screened in this cluster, with seven positive cases. – November 3, 2020.
