NINE sub-districts in Seremban will be placed under the conditional movement-control order (CMCO) for two weeks starting Friday, said Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.

Ismail Sabri said the CMCO will be enforced in Ampangan, Seremban, Bandar Seremban, Rasah, Setul, Pantai, Lenggeng, Rantau, Labu.

He said this was decided by the National Security Council on the advice of the Ministry of Health.

“The CMCO will be enforced from November 5 to 18, which will cover nine sub-districts,” Ismail said.

Ismail said the CMCO rules in Seremban will follow those enforced in Selangor and other states which are currently under the same control order.

The senior minister also said the security council had agreed to end the enhanced MCO for prisons in the North and Selangor zones following a decline in Covid-19 cases.

However, for the Seberang Perai Prison and its staff quarters, following advice from the Health Ministry, the NSC has agreed to extend the EMCO period as there are still Covid-19 cases detected in the area.

“The EMCO for Seberang Perai prison and quarters will now continue till November 18,” he said. – November 3, 2020.
