Baling's Kg Padang Che Mas partial lockdown ends tomorrow

THE conditional movement control order (CMCO) at Kg Padang Che Mas, Baling, in Kedah will end tomorrow, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said that up to yesterday, there were no new cases based on screenings conducted by the Health Ministry. 

“The special meeting on Covid-19 had decided to end the CMCO on October 31,” he said at a press conference today.

The CMCO was enforced from October 18 to 31 on the advice of the Kedah office of National Security Council. 

It had involved 1,150 residents and 151 houses in the area.

The CMCO in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya, which was set to end on October 27, has been extended to November 9. 

Nilai in Negri Sembilan is also being placed under CMCO from October 28 till November 10 following a rise in Covid-19 cases in the district.

Over in Sabah, the CMCO in Labuan has been extended from October 31 to November 13 as Covid-19 cases continue to rise. – October 30, 2020.
