85 Covid-19 cases from 5 new clusters

Sabah today recorded two new Covid-19 clusters – Sakti in Lahad Datu, and Tuguson in Kota Belud. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Irwan Majid, October 29, 2020.

A TOTAL of 85 cases have been recorded in five new Covid-19 clusters reported in the nation today, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. 

The director-general of health said of the 85, 33 were newly recorded cases in these clusters. 

Noor Hisham said of the five new clusters, two were reported in Sabah and Selangor respectively, as well as one in Negri Sembilan. 

The first cluster in Sabah, known as Sakti, involves the Lahad Datu district. A total of 154 people have been tested here so far.  

Of those, 18 have tested positive, 101 negative while 35 are waiting for results.

Tuguson is the second cluster in the Borneo state. It involves the Kota Belud district.  

Eighteen positive cases have been reported here from the 146 screened. The rest are waiting for results.  

In Selangor, the Bah Medan cluster was reported in Sepang. 

As of noon today, a total of 52 individuals were screened in this cluster, with 20 people testing positive while the other 32 are waiting for results.  

The second cluster reported in Selangor today is Taman Laut, which involves the Petaling district.  

A total of 123 people were screened here and of them, six tested positive, 18 negative and 99 others are waiting for results.  

The final cluster is in Negri Sembilan, involving the Kuala Pilah and Jelebu districts.  

Twenty-three have tested positive and 25 negative from the 55 screened. The rest are waiting for results. – October 29, 2020.
