People first, politics later, says Pulai Umno youth

AFTER the decision made by the Umno Supreme Council yesterday, the party’s stand is clear and provides us a good mechanism to carry Malaysia forward from this political crisis smoothly.

The three things that the grassroots must understand right now are:

  1. National reconciliation agenda
  2. Inter-party cooperation towards budget 2021
  3. Reduce the transmission of Covid-19

This is our policy from Umno, to prioritise the needs of the people who are currently in a bad situation facing the Covid-19 pandemic. The administration led by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin should not be intimidated by the challenges and questions from Umno. The prime minister must take this criticism to strengthen the cabinet and vice versa.

Umno is constantly voicing out the concern of the people. Umno will commit to strengthen the administration of Perikatan Nasional (PN) if Bersatu stops scheming around and playing politics, which at the end of day, does not benefit the people and the economy.

The Umno Youth Wing of Pulai Division thanks and upholds the royal decree of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as a moral guidance to us all. We hope that there will be more discussions between the components of PN.

This also includes the inter-party cooperation across ideologies to curb Covid-19 and ensure Budget 2021 is a budget that can cover many of aspects such as, economic, employment needs, hospital and staff needs as well as the need to eradicate pollution.

Apart from that, the Umno Youth Wing of Pulai Division also emphasises to strengthen Barisan Nasional and its direction, and are committed to becoming strong backbenchers in Dewan Rakyat for check and balance purposes.

To avoid an episode that almost disappointed the people, the Umno Youth Wing of Pulai Division suggests that a timeline be proposed to the executive branch to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases immediately, and if this settles, then Parliament should be dissolved to restore and give democracy back to the people. – October 27, 2020.
