SABAH has contributed to more than one-third of total Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, says Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He also said that the state accounts for 2.96% of active positive cases to date.
“As of October 18, Sabah has recorded 7,439 Covid-19 cases (36.3%) of the nation’s cumulative cases.
“To date, the Sabah state (active) positive Covid-19 rate is at 2.96%,” he said in a press conference today.
He said the government has conducted Covid-19 screenings on 251,030 individuals since the onset of the pandemic.
Malaysia today reported a record-breaking 871 new Covid-19 daily cases, with the state recording 702 new cases, which is 80.6% of today’s total.
Today’s number of cases is also the highest recorded in the state so far.
Sabah has continued to record the highest daily cases for 12 consecutive days.
It also recorded six out of seven deaths today. – October 18, 2020.
