MALAYSIANS should just stay at home for the next two weeks to break the chain of Covid-19 infections, which is now escalating, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
“If possible, (Malaysians) for this period of two weeks sit at home if you have no business outside,” he said in a virtual presser today.
The Covid-19 situation in Malaysia is worsening, with the nation recording 869 infections in the last 24 hours.
Noor Hisham said the majority of cases were from Sabah, with the state recording 451 cases or 51.9% of total cases today, adding that Klang Valley, which is under partial lockdown, contributed 20.3% of cases.
He said if it is a necessity for the public to head out, he urged them to follow the standard operating procedure outlined by the government and the Health Ministry.
“If there is a necessity or work outside, make sure to comply with the SOP,” he said. – October 17, 2020.
