THE coronavirus cluster named after 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya has grown to 132 cases.

Dr Noor Hisham said 107 of cases in the Utama cluster were foreign nationals.

The total infected are 87 security guards, 18 cleaners, 16 mall workers, six shoppers and five family members of a positive patient.

The index patient is a 28 year-old Nepalese security guard at the mall.

He was screened and tested positive on October 8, after experiencing symptoms of fever, cough and cold.

Noor Hisham said another Nepalese security guard case was at first believed to be the index patient but further investigation showed his symptoms had appeared far too early for that to be the case. – October 15, 2020.
