PEOPLE wishing to venture across the borders of states and territories under a conditional movement control order may download the application form for a travel permit on the police’s Facebook page.

The forms are also available at the police stations, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“The completed form must be submitted to the nearest police station for the signature of the police chief.

“The signed and stamped form should be shown at the roadblocks encountered along the way, Ismail said at a press conference broadcast from his residence today.

Sabah, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are under a CMCO. Labuan will join the three states on Saturday following a severe Covid-19 outbreak.

Ismail said applications to travel for social purposes will not be entertained.

“There will be people saying they want to visit their relatives, but during a CMCO we have to reduce our movements.

“The reason for a CMCO is to curb the pandemic.”

Meanwhile, he said police arrested 390 people for violating CMCO guidelines.

Four of them were remanded and the rest given a compound fine. – October 15, 2020.
