THE 1 Utama Shopping Centre will close for two weeks until October 25 after 63 Covid-19 cases were traced to the mall.
Selangor issued the directive after detecting four cases among three workers and a visitor on Sunday.
Petaling district disaster management committee chairman Johari Anuar said the 1 Utama cluster is linked to 63 cases, of which 59 are in the Petaling district while four are outside its jurisdiction.
“The workers who tested positive are being treated in hospital while those who were in contact with them must undergo 14 days of self-quarantine,” Johari said, adding that it is undertaking contact tracing.
The mall conducted mass testing on Saturday, detecting 16 cases among workers and security personnel (44).
