ANWAR Ibrahim left the Istana Negara 45 minutes after arrival this morning.

The opposition leader arrived at the palace about 10.45am to meet with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong .

He left at 11.30am without speaking to the media.

He waved at the waiting press members as he drove out of the palace grounds.

Several PKR supporters who had gathered outside the palace shouted “Reformasi” as the Port Dickson MP drove off .

PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil told the press Anwar will hold a media conference today at 2pm.

Anwar made his claim of having majority support on September 23, but was unable to meet the king who was in hospital at the time.

Police yesterday said they would summon the opposition leader in relation to a list in circulation of 121 MPs said to support him in changing the government.

Various political parties on the government bench have dismissed Anwar’s claim and reiterated support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

However, Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he could not stop his party MPs from backing Anwar should they wish to do so. – October 13, 2020.
