Zulkifli only NSC meeting attendee testing positive for Covid-19

RELIGIOUS Affairs Minister Zulkifli Mohamad al-Bakri was the only person attending the special National Security Council (NSC) meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on October 3 to test positive for Covid-19, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who confirmed today that all other attendees tested negative for the virus.

“Everyone who attended the meeting in the PMO on October 3 had undergone screenings.

“To date, no other cases have been detected positive,” he said, without giving any detail, in a virtual press conference today on Covid-19.

On October 5, Zulkifli confirmed he was Covid-19 positive, and called on those present at the events he had attended from September 24 to October 4, to undergo screening.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Health Minister Dr Adham Baba, Noor Hisham and other ministers.

As such, all attendees are now in quarantine at home for 14 days from the date of the meeting. – October 11, 2020.
