Parkson Elite 1 Utama shuts for the day after worker contracts Covid-19

A BEAUTY adviser in Parkson Elite 1 Utama has Covid-19, the department store chain said today.

Parkson Malaysia said the employee, who tested positive for the virus yesterday, worked at the cosmetics and fragrance section on the ground floor of the store.

“We proceeded to close our Parkson Elite 1 Utama store for a thorough cleansing and sanitisation exercise in accordance with the procedures issued by the Ministry of Health,” it said in a statement today.

“Our store staff will undergo Covid-19 testing as well as 14 days of self-quarantine.”

Parkson Malaysia said it was working with the 1 Utama mall management team and Health Ministry on contact tracing.

Last month a worker at the Mac City Service Centre in 1 Utama was confirmed infected. – October 8, 2020.
