Muhyiddin chairs Covid-19 special meeting

PRIME Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is chairing a special National Security Council meeting on Covid-19 in Putrajaya today.

Among those present at the meeting, which commenced at 9.15am, are senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Works Minister Fadillah Yusof and Education Minister Dr Radzi Jidin.

Also present are director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador and defence forces chief Gen Affendi Buang.

Yesterday, Malaysia recorded 287 new Covid-19 infections, the highest number of daily cases since the start of the pandemic in the country. – Bernama, October 3, 2020.
