BARISAN Nasional secretary-general Annuar Musa is back in action after tweeting he tested negative for Covid-19.

Annuar, who is Federal Territories minister, was seen sitting beside former Umno president Najib Razak and Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan at the party headquarters in Kota Kinabalu at around 6.30pm.

Party leaders have gathered there to watch the state polls results.

Earlier today, Annuar said on Twitter he has taken the virus test three times in 30 days.

“Better to have pain in my nose (as a result of the swab test) than getting the virus,” said the Ketereh MP.

In another tweet, Annuar said his second test was also negative and that he was waiting for a release letter from the Health Ministry after observing all procedures.

Annuar was instructed to undergo self-quarantine after he was found to be in close contact with Umno Supreme Council member Mohd Razlan Rafii after the latter had tested positive for Covid-19 following campaigning in Sabah.

Besides Razlan, party information chief Shahril Hamdan had also tested positive for Covid-19 this week.

Today, Umno Youth chief Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said he is under home quarantine after coming into close contact with Razlan during campaigning.

He has been screened twice and has so far tested negative. – September 26, 2020.
