Fire breaks out at HKL

A FIRE broke out at the main block of the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) this evening. No casualties were reported.

Hospital officials said the fire was at the orthopaedics and traumatology ward on the fourth floor of the building.

HKL director Dr Heric Corray declined to comment on the incident.

The Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue department, however, confirmed the incident and said they received a distress call at 11.07pm.

A fire department official said as of now, there are no reports on the cause of the fire and casualties.

Firemen are currently in the building. – September 19, 2020.
