WATER supply has been restored to 811 areas, or 62.7% of the 1,292 hit by an unscheduled disruption in the Klang Valley, as of 6.30pm today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communications head Elina Baseri, in a statement, said restoration is ongoing for the remaining 481 areas.

Supply has been restored to 99.2% of Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor (94.1%), Gombak (66.4%), Petaling (66.1%), Kuala Langat (50%), Kuala Lumpur (41.3%) and Klang/Shah Alam (24.2%).

“Air Selangor assures that the water supplied to consumers is safe and meets the Health Ministry’s standards,” said Elina, refuting a message that has gone viral, claiming that the water is not safe for consumption. – Bernama, September 6, 2020.
