WATER supply has been restored to 618 areas, or 47.83% of the 1,292 hit by an unscheduled disruption in the Klang Valley, as of 12.30pm today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communications head Elina Baseri, in a statement, said restoration to the remaining 674 areas is ongoing.

She said supply to Hulu Selangor is 94.1% restored, followed by Kuala Selangor (93.5%), Petaling (57.2%), Kuala Langat (50%), Kuala Lumpur (41.3%), Klang and Shah Alam (24.2% each), and Gombak (11.3%).

“Air Selangor hopes consumers who have had supply restored will use water prudently to ensure the overall restoration process goes smoothly and according to schedule.”

The agency will provide updates on the supply restoration via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and its website. – Bernama, September 6, 2020.
