Mask: indecent disposal, here’s my proposal

Here are some of the masks the writer found during her morning walk. – Pic courtesy of Balvinder Kaur, August 24, 2020.

I WENT for my routine morning walk in my neighbourhood in Section 17 Petaling Jaya and stumbled upon one too many masks disposed on the ground without care.

Some masks may fall off involuntarily at times, but effort has got to be taken to pick it up and dispose it properly.

It really speaks volumes of the lackadaisical attitude of certain quarters. This is basic hygiene practice and above all, common sense.

What can one do, is to tie it up and dispose it into a bin when you find one.

If the bin is not within reach, put it in a plastic bag, your pocket/bag and throw it at home.

If you are worried about carrying the virus home, you sat and ate/drank somewhere right?

You are still sitting in the same clothes in your car while driving home. So, what’s the problem?

Remember, kids watch habits of their parents. Let’s teach them the right thing. – August 24, 2020.
