MALAYSIA reported 10 Covid-19 cases and 10 recoveries today, said Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The tally is now 9,267 infections and 8,959 recoveries, he said in a statement.
Of the 10 new cases, eight were imported, including three from the Alam oil tanker cluster in Sarawak.
The two local transmissions are in the Tawar cluster in Kedah, bringing the tally to 65.
No new fatalities were reported, keeping the death toll at 125.
There are 183 active cases with no new clusters.

As of noon today, 3,286 people in three states – Kedah, Penang, and Perak – have been screened during contact tracing for the Tawar cluster infections.
However, screening in Perak has ended after 11 people tested negative.
The index case of the cluster was a businessman who attended a two-day memorial service in Tawar, Kedah, on July 31.
Meanwhile, the three new cases from the Alam cluster have brought its total cases to 7.
Twenty-seven people have been screened for this cluster.
For the eight imported cases, three are locals and another five are foreigners.
These cases came from Japan (3), Indonesia (3), Maldives (1), and Mexico (1).
To date, there are nine Covid-19 patients being treated in the ICU, whereby another four require respiratory assistance. – August 23, 2020.
