MOHAMED Azmin Ali and his faction have joined Bersatu, which was formalised during a ceremony attended by Muhyiddin Yassin.

The former PKR deputy president handed over his groups application form to Bersatu executive secretary during the Kongres Negara 2020 gathering in the capital today.

Azmin handed the applications after leading his group in a loyalty pledge to Muhyiddin’s leadership.

“We sincerely pledge our support to Bersatu. We support Muhyiddin as Prime Minister. Now is the time to unite for the country,” said Azmin.

After receiving their application Muhyiddin handed their membership cards to Azmin and those who had followed him into Bersatu.

Among the former PKR MPs who received their membership cards were Housing and Local Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang) and Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah (Indera Mahkota).

Others who joined today are deputy foreign minister Kamaruddin Jaffar (Bandar Tun Razak), Mansor Othman (Nibong Tebal), Rashid Hasnon (Batu Pahat), Ali Biju (Saratok) dan Willie Mongin (Puncak Borneo).

Segamat MP Santhara Kumar had announced his decision to join Bersatu earlier this month.

On February 24, the PKR central leadership sacked Azmin and Zuraida for actions betraying the party which brought down the Pakatan Harapan government. – August 22, 2020.

  • Good riddance. Bersatu has no principles or integrity. Best place for them all.
