POLICE are investigating a sodomy report against a politician which allegedly took place seven years ago.

The complainant is a man in his 20s who had also made a statutory declaration on the alleged incidents.

He lodged a police report over the weekend while the SD was made in late June.

Federal CID deputy director Mior Faridalathrash Wahid confirmed the report but did not elaborate further.

“The report was lodged over the weekend in Kuala Lumpur,” he told The Malaysian Insight.

When asked why it took him seven years to highlight the incidents, the complainant told The Malaysian Insight he will reveal all in a press conference soon.

“At the moment, I cannot comment much on why I waited until now to reveal this.

“I will have a PC soon,” said the complainant, adding that he has yet to hire a lawyer and went to the police station on his own.

In the SD, the complainant said he met the politician four times in 2013. He was allegedly paid RM300 after each session.

The complainant added that on his fourth meeting, he was asked if he could introduce his friends to the politician.

“I introduced my friend and we met at the Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. After we met in the hotel room, I left and my friend stayed. I waited for an hour at the lobby before he came down.

“My friend said he was roughed up and he also received RM300 from the politician,” the complainant said in his SD.

The complainant also said he kept all his conversations with the politician in his mobile phone. – August 18, 2020.
