MALAYSIAN employers have registered nearly 127,000 job vacancies on the Myfuturejobs National Employment Services job portal since it was launched on June 15, according to Works Minister Fadillah Yusof.

He said 6,564 of these vacancies were in the construction sector, while 3,045 or 46.4% of those were in management, professional, executive, and technician level categories, with the remainder clerical and other basic administrative tasks.

“We will train university graduates as they enter the workforce. Hopefully they will fill the vacancies at all levels, and those who have skills in the technical field or have interest, will also be trained,” he told reporters after witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Social Security Organisation and Construction Industry Development Board, in conjunction with Socso Career Penjana programme in Kuala Lumpur, today.

By comparison, leading jobs portal Jobstreet advertises just 16,000 vacancies nationwide. – Bernama, August 11, 2020.
