Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majlis of Parti Warisan Sabah has lodged a police report on a man who allegedly harassed her to support Perikatan Nasional.

This was revealed in the Dewan Rakyat by Azis Jamman (Warisan-Sepanggar) who accompanied her to lodge the report yesterday.

“I accompanied Kota Belud yesterday to lodge a police report on an individual who has been frequently sending WhatsApp messages to her to entice her to support PN,” he told Parliament when debating the royal address today.

The former deputy home minister said the individual claimed he was under the instruction from “No. 1” to approach Isnaraissah, who is former deputy energy, science, technology, environment and climate change minister.

Asiz then proceeded to read the screenshots.

“I have been instructed by No. 1 to get in touch with you. Can we talk?

“I have an offer. Let me know whether it is convenient to talk. YB, Sabah is about to change hands. Don’t waste the golden opportunity. Take my offer. Meet me today,” the messages read.

Asiz then urged the Home Ministry to investigate this matter as it was a form of harassment to Isnaraissah.

“Who is meant by this No. 1? I hope the home minister will investigate this matter. This is a form of harassment and attempt to bribe and buy,” he said.

There are rumours that the Warisan-led Sabah government is set to fall to PN after several assemblymen are supposed to have agreed to switch parties.

Sources have been reported as saying that at least 14 assemblymen had agreed to abandon Chief Minister Shafie Apdal.

If this purported plan goes through, Sabah would be the fifth state to fall to PN since March, and give the ruling bloc control over 10 states. – July 23, 2020.

  • Trading of MPs must get a trading license from local council. Must indicate publicly the selling price. No secret talk talk. We voters object any form of unethical act or corrupt practices by govt executives or their Allies to sabotage the trust given by the voters to the elected representative. Understand, all frog MPs, u know who I mean.

  • This is very serious. The person who sent the messages must be hauled up by the MACC and made to explain his offer. The rakyat did not cast votes for the MP's elected by them to be bought and sold.
