AIRASIA is offering a 50% discount on the return fare for round trip bookings for flights to domestic destinations made on July 20-24 for travel during August 4 to December 6 this year.

In a statement, AirAsia commercial head Amanda Woo said a market survey showed an increasing number of people wished to travel as soon as the situation improves while flight searches on the carrier’s website had increased by more than 150% in the recovery phase of the movement control order.

“We are increasing our domestic flight frequencies to cater to stronger market demand. In August we have scheduled 30% more flight frequencies as compared to July, amounting to more than 600 weekly flights across 16 destinations within Malaysia.

“Seventy percent of these are flights between the peninsula and East Malaysia, with Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Tawau among the top destinations. We will continue to ramp up our capacity and introduce more exciting offers so everyone can fly affordably,” she said.

She also said customers could enjoy bigger savings when they book a flight and hotel combo on SNAP. 

Until December 31, customers may also change their flight dates without incurring a fee. – Bernama, July 17, 2020.
