SLIM assemblyman Mohd Khusairi Abdul Talib has died of a heart attack at Bentong Hospital in Pahang.

Perak Umno chief chief Saarani Mohamad confirmed the death of the 59-year-old Tg Malim division chief.

“We are arranging for his remains to be brought back to Tg Malim.”

In the 2018 general election, Khusairi retained the Perak state seat for Barisan Nasional with a 2,183-vote majority.

His rivals, Mohd Amran Ibrahim from Bersatu and PAS’ Muhammad Zulfadli Zainal, got 6,144 and 4,103 votes, respectively.

Khusairi also formerly held the post of National Film Development Corporation chairman. – July 15, 2020.
