KUALA LUMPUR police are indexing gangsters in the area to determine whether illegal immigrants (Pati) are participating in gangsterism.

“We are identifying the gang members and the places where they usually hide. Hopefully we can do an operation as soon as possible to arrest them,” said Kuala Lumpur police chief Mazlan Lazim

“The Pati come here and form a tribe or a group, but there are some who have joined local gangsters,” he said at a press conference at the Community Policing Programme at Kuala Lumpur Pasar Borong today.

He added crime in pasar borong has reduced by 54.2 % compared to last year.

“There are only 60 cases this year – 32 violent in nature and 28 involving stolen goods compared to 131 cases last year.” – December 5, 2017.
