DAP’S Mengkibol assemblyman Tan Hong Pin was ejected from the Johor legislative assembly today for defying the speaker’s order to sit down after raising concerns about a water project in the state.

Tan was ordered out by Speaker Mohamed Aziz after Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin finished his winding-up speech.

The DAP lawmaker was reprimanded several times by the speaker for disrupting the assembly’s proceedings and was told to sit down.

“The answer has been given; it is the honourable assemblyman who doesn’t want to accept it,” Mohamed said.

Tan said he was still dissatisfied and insisted on better answers.

He had asked the state government to reveal the source of funding to channel water from the Kahang Dam to the Sembrong Timor Dam.

After ordering Tan to sit down several times, Mohamad then ordered that he be escorted out of the house.

Tan is the second DAP assemblyman to be ejected from the house this sitting. Last Monday, Senai rep Wong Shu Qi was ordered out after she refused to retract bribery allegations against Khaled in relation to a land scandal. – December 4, 2017.
