PUTRAJAYA has agreed to waive Covid-19 test fees for people with special needs, government officials returning from assignment and students coming home for the first time.

Senior Minister Ismail Sabri said Putrajaya will refund the money for those who returned home early this morning and  were charged for the test.

“We have imposed certain fees on Malaysians returning home, but we decided to waive the fee for certain groups of people.

“Special need individuals, given that they produce their OKU card, government officials on official work abroad and students returning home for the first time and they need to provide proof of study,” said Ismail Sabri.

Today, the Health Ministry said Malaysians returning from overseas will have to pay between RM30 and RM150 to be tested for Covid-19 as they re-enter the country.

For non-citizens, the fees are higher, depending on the type of tests. – June 29, 2020.
