4 new Covid-19 cases, 40 recoveries, no deaths

MALAYSIA recorded four new Covid-19 infections as of noon today, with no deaths reported, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement.

A total of 40 patients have been discharged, bringing the number of recoveries to 8,271 or 96.2% of all cases. The death toll remains 121, or 1.41% of all cases.

The four new cases bring the cumulative infections nationwide to 8,600 cases. There are currently 208 active cases or patients who are isolated and receiving treatment.

Three of the new cases today are imported, all of which involve Malaysians. The local transmission case is a Malaysian who tested positive for severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) at Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom in Johor.

There are currently two patients being treated in intensive care units (ICUs), with none requiring respiratory support. – June 25, 2020.
