THE Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration is “quite stable” and has the confidence of the people, said Human Resources Minister M Saravanan.

Saravanan said people across the board were very confident of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership and his government.

“I think it is quite stable at this moment even though everybody is claiming that they have the numbers.

“But I think Malaysians across the board are behind the prime minister,” he told reporters in Putrajaya today.

“It is a stable government, don’t worry,” he added.

He was responding to a question on political uncertainties in the country.

Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday said that he believed a snap poll will return PN to power with a good majority.

The Umno vice-president said the current PN government was not strong and constantly under pressure owing to its slim majority in Parliament.

The government has a three-seat majority in the 222-seat Dewan Rakyat and is dogged by the constant threat of defection and a counter coup by the opposition Pakatan Harapan. – June 22, 2020.
