Companies and organisations, including political parties, can hold general meetings and seminars from July 1, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.

He said the decision was made after the Registrar of Societies this morning tabled the health and safety standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of Covid-19.

“Before this we have allowed training, seminars and meetings (for a limited number of people) and today we decided to allow companies and associations and even political parties to have their general meetings,” he said at a daily briefing on the recovery movement control order (RMCO).

The National Security Council spokesman said the government has yet to decide whether to allow full-scale wedding ceremonies.

“We will discuss this tomorrow and I will make the announcement on Wednesday,” he added. – June 22, 2020.
