CINEMAS and live events, including theatre shows, have the green light from Putrajaya to resume business starting July 1.
However, the audience for each show is limited to 250 people only, Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.
Live events must also be held in an enclosed area to enable social distancing and crowd control.
“The government has agreed to allow cinemas to resume operations, as well as live events including theatre.
“Live shows must be held in a closed hall or arena,” Ismail said today at a briefing on the recovery movement control order (RMCO).
The movement control order is now in its recovery phase where nearly all sectors are allowed to reopen conditional upon strict compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Under the RMCO, restaurants are allowed to open until midnight and the people are allowed to travel beyond state borders. – June 22, 2020.
