INDIVIDUALS who are under home quarantine after returning from overseas must confine themselves in their room and not move around freely in the house, said Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The senior minister said that by moving around the house, the infected individual was exposing other family members to the virus.
“They must stay inside their own room, even food must be placed at the door. They cannot walk in the house or watch TV in the hall.
“They need to be in the room alone until the quarantine period is over,” he said.
Putrajaya has recently agreed that Malaysians returning home from overseas are no longer required to be quarantined for 14 days at quarantine centres.
They will be screened upon arrival at the airport, with those testing positive to be sent to hospitals immediately.
“When you arrive, you will be tested using a swab test and, if you are positive, you will be sent to hospital.
“If you are negative, you can go home for self-quarantine. You are not allowed to leave home and you will be given a wristband to wear,” Ismail Sabri told his daily press conference last week. – June 13, 2020.
