MALAYSIANS going to Sarawak now do not need approvals from the state’s disaster management committee, said senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

In his daily briefing today, he said there is also no need for Malaysians to undergo Covid-19 testing before entering Sarawak.

“Just follow the standard operating procedure and download the MySejahtera mobile application.

“No need for swab tests or health checks. Visitors will be sampled randomly upon arrival.”

Malaysia has entered its third day of recovery movement control order (RMCO) after the conditional movement control order ended on June 10.

Under the RMCO, inter-state travel and domestic tourism is allowed, as are more activities and economic sectors, including barbershops and beauty salons.

Close contact activities and some sports are still banned.

Police will continue to monitor compliance with the health and safety measures to prevent a resurgence of Covid-19, such as social distancing and limited number of people allowed to gather in one place. – June 13, 2020.
