RESTAURANTS, food hawkers and convenience stores can open until midnight starting tomorrow, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The government has also allowed the food vendors on the highways to resume business.

“It was agreed in today’s meeting to allow restaurants, including hawkers and vendors on the highways, and convenience stores to open until 12pm,” Ismail said  today in a daily press conference on the Covid-19 response.

“Before this they could only open until 10pm but we have decided to allow them two more hours, until midnight,.”

The conditional movement control order expires at midnight today to be replaced by the recovery movement control order, under which more restrictions are eased to allow the people greater freedom of movement within the limits of the government’s health and safety guidelines. – June 9, 2020.
