THREE new Covid-19 clusters involving 15 foreigners have been identified in Pahang, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
“One cluster involves a farm in Bera, and the other two are in a sawmill and a construction company in Maran.
“All 15 cases are non-citizens,” he said during his daily media briefing in Putrajaya today.
He said the Bera farm had seven cases, while six cases were detected in the sawmill in Maran. Two cases were found in the construction company in Maran.
Malaysia today reported 57 Covid-19 cases, of which 10 were imported and 47 were local transmission.
Of the 47 local cases, Noor Hisham said 43 involved foreigners.
The most number of local cases for today are from Selangor (27), followed by Pahang (15) and Kuala Lumpur (1).
Noor Hisham said the new cases in Pahang were detected during random sampling.
He said those who tested positive will be isolated while those who tested negative will be quarantined for 14 days.
“Once we confirmed there are positive cases, we will immediately perform active case detection and those who test positive, we will isolate and those who were negative, we will quarantine them for 14 days,” he said. – May 31, 2020.
