30 new Covid-19 cases, 95 recoveries today

MALAYSIA today reported 30 new Covid-19 cases, a sharp drop from yesterday’s 103.

Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the latest infections take the national tally to 7,762.

Of the new infections, three are imported, with the rest being local transmissions.

“Of the 27 locally transmitted cases, 17 involve foreigners and 10 are Malaysians,” Dr Noor Hisham told a daily press conference on the coronavirus in Putrajaya.

He said another 95 patients have been discharged, taking total recoveries to 6,330.

There are 1,317 active cases, he said, with nine in intensive care.

The death toll stays 115, with no new fatalities for more than a week. – May 30, 2020.
