SENIOR Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today urged employers who were hiring to conduct online job interviews during the conditional movement control order (CMCO)  period.

He said technology allowed interviews to easily be held online and that many organisations were already making full use of it.

“Many companies here are conducting online interviews,” he said today in a daily press briefing on the Covid-19 response, in Putrajaya.

“I hope (employers) can continue to hold online interviews.”

Businesses have resumed with the introduction of the CMCO on May 4.

Ismail said those who needed to cross state borders to get to work were required to apply to the nearest police station for permission to travel interstate.

Movement restrictions have have been eased under the CMCO but interstate travel, except in cases of emergency, is still barred. – May 23, 2020.
