A TOTAL of 445 cases of Covid-19 have been detected so far in madrasah and tahfiz centres.

Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said tests were carried out on 11,546 people, including staff and pupils, at the religious schools.

He said testing was in progress for the 18,728 pupils, teachers and staff in 370 madrasah and tahfiz schools identified by the Health Ministry.
