Govt service counters open for business

ALL government service counters are open, starting today, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.

He said the standard operating procedure (SOP) for health and safety must be strictly applied.

“All SOPs must be followed, including temperature checks at the entry points, social distancing and use of hand sanitiser,” he said today at a daily briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic response.

He said all the offices were sanitised before opening.

Government offices, including service counters, were closed on March 18 in compliance with the movement control order (MCO).

Ismail said sanitisation work has been conducted on 9,732 government and business premises and public areas.

He said 3,228 government buildings, 2,138 public areas, 2,475 business centres, 1,549 residential areas and 342 supermarkets were disinfected. – May 13, 2020.
