96 recoveries, 67 new Covid-19 cases

MALAYSIA continues to record more Covid-19 recoveries than new cases, with 96 patients being discharged in the past 24 hours compared to 67 new infections, said Dr Noor HIsham Abdullah.

The director-general of health said of the new cases, 49 involved foreigners.

He said there has been no deaths reported over the last 24 hours, with the toll remaining at 108.

Dr Noor Hisham said the new infections also brings the total number of cases to 6,656. 

The total number of recoveries now stands at 5,025 or 75.5% of the total Covid-19 cases.

“The number of active cases is 1,523, with 18 patients being treated at intensive care units, and six require respiratory support,” he said at the Health Ministry’s daily media conference on the Covid-19 situation in the country. – May 10, 2020.
